Storyteller, advocate, bibliophile

debut Children’s book available now.

"Bernie . . . you are destined for great things. You have been chosen to help people in ways most animals cannot."

The Howards adopt what appears to be an ordinary pet hamster. They don't suspect that "Bernie" is intelligent enough to explore the house and learn more about the family than they will ever know. That is, until a crisis threatens Bernie's family and their home, and his true destiny becomes clear to all.

Through the debut children’s book by former elementary teacher and school board trustee Terry Barnard, readers internalize that through determination and belief, all things are possible.

“A genuinely beautiful adventure full of fun. This heartwarming read is perfect for children of all ages.”

-Erin McCann, Communications Consultant

“Riveting. This book was impossible to put down, and impossible to forget.”
